Tek
Is there anything different that I need to do when tinting my rear window that has defroster lines as opposed to tinting a normal window?
jeyrapboy
It should be the same as any other window my buddy just has his done and they did the same on the back as they did all the other windows.

rumproast789
i heard that if you want to remove it you cant without messing up the defroster lines, this was probably only said because the shop was lazy and didn't feel like taking it off. Who knows! mines tinted over the defroster lines and it works just fine 2002 ford explorer 200 amp rewound alt single 18" Fi btl fully loaded 2 1750's 2 c&d tech 88amp/hr batts 2 ought wiring cdt component set up front, cdt coaxials in back Kenwood eXcelon KDC-X693

Robert8252
Removal is a pain. Need some very strong window cleaner with amonia(spelling?) a trash bag, and a warm day. But installing is the same and the lines don't make much if any of a difference. The curve of the back window is a real bitch though to get the tint to fit just right. For mine we did it in two layer that meet exactly on a defroster line. We fitted it on the outside using a heat gun to warm it and bend it into shape with a lot of soapy water and baby powder to keep it from tearing.
