buy both and test.... no one will know for sure because there are 2 much stuff to come into play on it.. box, vehicle.. amp, you can have a pyle amp vs a mcintosh amp the quality is totally different.

oh sorry i didn't know i'm a newbie here. and i was just wondering what would be better for the price because i found a deal on both of the subs the dc lvl 3 15 was 120 shipped and the fi ssd was 185 shipped and the box would be 4.3 cu ft tuned to 33 hz and the amp is a kenwood excelon x1200m which says it puts out 1200 watts rms but i think it puts out only around 1000-1100 rms.

I would go with the lvl 3, just because of the price, and to match the price of the SSD thats your box with the lvl 3 so your making out pretty good. but i think 4.3 cubes is pretty big for a lvl 3 with that much power running 2 it..

i'll try to keep my gains down but i think it'll be fine as long as i do that.

I agree with Derrick about the level 3s. Just turn down the gain with a DMM and set it to ~800wrms

if you get the level 3 dont put it in a 4cuft box. Rusty said that unless you plan on burping the sub, dont do 4cuft. stick with what it says and around a 35hz tuning.

ok i guess i'll build a new box and tune to 35 hz and i'll see which box sounds better if i like the way the 4.3 cu ft box sounds then i'll go with it. i only care about how it sounds to me because i'm the one who is listening
