BJD3
As the title says could I put a couple of the 12s in my car and not have problems? Would they prefer sealed or ported boxes? Any idea on what size box and what it should be tuned to? It will be in a trunk car, and I'm looking for SPL with the ability to drop low. So I'm assuming if its ported, I'd want to tune somewhere around 32ish? They seem to be a respected enough brand, and relatively cheap. Beside this, I'm probably going to go with CVXs. I really don't want something everyone around here has, and my mom isn't the greatest fan of buying something from small places on the internet, and I can respect that. Either way, its going to be run off of a T1000-1BDCP. http://www.daytonaudio.com/loudspeaker/drv_titanic.html Quote Anti Peel and Seal...lol You may be offended by the above. Forevrbumpn
They make GREAT car audio subs in sealed, ported they want to be tuned pretty low, so may not be to loud, but will get low in ported boxes in a car Ive used these many many times in car installs Quote I have a ritual called "terminator". I crouch in the shower in the "naked terminator" pose. With eyes closed I crouch for a minute and visualize either Arnie or the guy from the 2nd movie. I then start to hum the T2 theme. Slowly I rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me get through my day. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It sorta ruins the fantasy. BJD3
They make GREAT car audio subs in sealed, ported they want to be tuned pretty low, so may not be to loud, but will get low in ported boxes in a car Ive used these many many times in car installs I can deal with that. I think my definition of "loud" is fairly low anyway. lol The thing I can't stand is a song dropping down and getting virtually no output. So for me, as long as I can get moderately loud and drop low (both of which should be dependent upon install), I'll be fine. About how big am I looking at sealed for two of these?
