Making the seats fold is absolutely impossible... there is metal support bars behind the seats, and they have like 6 different electronic sensors/computers attached to them.

Not only would i have to cut out a large part of the interna frame.. but i would have to extend like 50 wires... lol

Not true, but since its not an option your best bet is to deaden the hell out of your trunk. Block off and foam any unneeded air pockets and strengthen the hell out of your trunk lid. Thats your best chance. Slot port unloading on driver side, sub up.

It's all gone!

I had a 15 in a box, with sub up and ports forward, it did a 150.0, i flipped the box around to have sub up port back and got up to 150.1. To me the extra .1 that i would never notice wasnt worth the trunk rattle

When you had the 15" in the trunk...

When you had the box sub up, port towards front of the car... was the port through an armrest or something?

Was there any special modification to the rear deck?

Because my armrest opening is like 8"x8" and i dont see why doing that wouldn't work just as well as only having the port go forward

i dont think thats enough port area, going though the arm rest that is, i may be wrong

Legal TL scores145.6 on the dash sealed up in the low 40hz area with the port out145.5 on the dash sealed up @30hz with the port inless then 1k clamped on a 3.5k!

Why would you EVER WANT flex?
huh?...flex is what can make the lows lower and more air being pushed correct?

i did sub up port toward cabin...took a section out off the rear deck and third brake light removed for air movement

still more flex with the trunk open or windows down

the rattles happen neways unless you go on a deadening spree

deaden the entire trunk especially the spare well

the trunk lids are naturally heavy and with one layer or two are not flexxed

rear deck on my aurora is gray fiberglass so cut with caution if you decide too...lol

you can cut the x brace and not affect the frame rigidness/ dont cut the horizontal support just notch

good luck on the install

sub back port on driver side loading off of inner wheel well, take out your deck speakers to give yourself some extra air flow into the cabin.if your not looking to do a lot of cutting and want to try and leave the rear deck as stock as possible this would be a good option.

sub back port back would also work very well, how ever sub firing into the cabin port firing into the cabin on driver side or port firing through the rear deck would give you the best output. as far as your seats not folding down mine don't fold down either and my subs are firing forward and i have four 4" aeros in my rear deck sounds very good.

when i first installed my new set up i rode around for about a week with my backseats out while i was finishing up and was wondering how i could modify my seats to fold down, finally said the hell with it and with seats in i didn't lose much at all . what i did was left my back seat undone at the top and spray foamed the shit out of everything not much rattling from the seat at all. if your not going for numbers i don't think you will notice a big difference with seat in .it comes down to trial and error every car is different good luck .

Well.. since i couldnt get a single best answer... I just went and ordered two 4" precision ports off of amazon... it will either be-

Sub back ports through rear deck

or

Sub up ports towards front of car

Which of these two options is my best bet?

PORT THRU THE REAR DECK!!! FTMFW

Steve I don't know why but everytime I see your new paint I want a Dr. Pepper...... is this normal?

heres an analogy for you. running a high power stereo without a fuse is like having unprotected sex with that hot chick at the bar with the sketchy sexual history. Sure you may be fine and nothing happens but that one time something does happen you're fucked.

i dont want woofer broke like bass sound clip clip and voice coil overheat
