If you are getting box flex, more than likely air is going to find somewhere to leak out of (where it isn't suppose to..), so if that is happening yes you are losing output. And also, after a while of a lot of box flex, the box will start falling apart. To stop it, you can resin the inside of the box, and also put some metal dowels in the box. Boogie Knights Posted June 17, 2010 Author Report Posted June 17, 2010 It's a 4 cuft box with two 6" aeros. So to do the all threads. I just drill the holes, slide it through and put a washer and nut on each end? Do I have to add a washer and nut inside the box?

cubs_fan0718 Posted June 17, 2010 Report Posted June 17, 2010 I put a washer and a nut on the inside too, becasue when only putting on the outside it squeeze's the box, when u put them on both sides and tighten the inside first ur not pulling the box together ur just making it more sturdy. On each of my 5/8 all thread there is 4 washers and 4 nuts. jmitch Posted June 17, 2010 Report Posted June 17, 2010 yeah 4 washers and 4 nuts is more efficient since flexing goes both ways. ex. (in and out) I know a lil about everything so dont call me Mr. Know it All.
