Hey all, new here and have some questions about making my car HIT

Hey all, my name is kris and am from colfax ca. Anyways, I drive a 1987 fiero gt. I love my little car but the lack of space in the cab is frustrating.I used to drive a volvo with 2 15's but I sold it a couple years ago and miss my system. I did put a system in the fiero but I think its time to upgrade. I want a nice clean sounding system, not a rattle trap going down the road (I put dynamatt down in the cab). This is the stero now.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2sCsdHECQ_U However I did throw a rod and now the car is under a complete resto and I have to upgrade the stereo. My current setup is as follows

Sony xplod head unit with bluetooth

Fusion amp (i know its crap)

JL 10 inch sub in a sub zero box behind the seats

Pioneer speakers (they are 4x10)<----Should I just go 4 inch circle speakers?

1.5 UF cap

4 gauge wire

And thats it.

I would like to put the sub somewhere else so my passenger can gain some leg room. The 10 is all the sound I need (If I could get more without loosing room, im all ears) but I want to get the sub out from behind the seat. So any ideas would be gread

I used to own an '87 Fiero and while it's a fun car to drive it has no space when it comes to installing a system. I had a JL 8" sub that sounded nice but it was just never enough. I think that 10 behind the seat is gonna be the only option for you in that car.

Thanks for the response guys. I was thinking a shallow mount sub in a glassed box built into the ECM cover. But the limited air space would make the sub all show and no go.

shallow mounts in a sealed box would be best for you.

most shallow mounts only need .5 to 1 cu.ft. (they have to be in a sealed box)
