RyanJ
its a process. besides if u start off loud as hell where do u go from there? (2 15 bl's is loud for most ppl) start little and get bigger and bigger. Well I don't own a car, but I was grew up around bass, if that makes sense. At the age of 15 and 14, I've hung around older people with cars around 18-19. The first time I heard a subwoofer, was 2 12" Alpine type-r kickers running 1000 watts. Underpowered, but I fell in love. So they, I heard 3 12" JL audio running 1.5k I think, feel even more in love. NOW, I have friends with 4 15"s running 5k or 2 15's running 2.6k. Like, its nothing to me now. I'm pretty sure I can handle more then 2 15" Fi's, but I just don't have the money. And so, there is like no way I can get player the 2 15's without an alternator. Because the guy that runs his 2 15's with 2.6k doesn't have one, and it sounds fine, runs fine, and its been fine for a year now. So that's why I was shocked earlier on when you guys said I need one. RyanJ
Also, you have to think about costs for the box, wiring, and you may need an extra battery. And box wise + Wiring, I already got that all covered. My friend can do that for me since his uncle is into this stuff. And a battery? What do you mean by battery, like for my car or for my subs.. Haha, my bad, I'm just a little confused, sorry for all the questions. I appreciate the help and support too. Alex K
depends on the company. build one box, tune in the 30 to 35 range. i think the guy u were talking to is a "pro noob" he thinks he knows what he is doing but doesn't. and i say that one box should be about 7 to 8.5 cubes (for both) What? Don't know what i'm talking about? Why would you risk running non fully loaded Fi's with no prior experience with beautiful subwoofers, with more than they can handle without extra upgrades? Can it be done without them? Sure. But it's best not to until you know what youre up against. I've been down the path of blowing shit up in my trunk and i've learned the hard way. I think it's best he knows what's going on before hand. I'm not trying to come across as a jackass, but I think you need to take it 1 step at a time and get the necessary equipment to run your subs at the greatest potential. 2006 Nissan Z Track.
