Neo_frog
So I brought the TL out to work to do some testing. These scores are extremely odd. NOTE: This is plug and chug. No tuning or seal from front to back. Amps are gain matched from last tuned install... I'm flexing a LOT in rear doors and back hatch. Sealed: 149.7 @ 32hZ Driver Door open: 153.6 @ 37hZ Kick: 153.6 @ 36hZ Sealed on music: 153.8 peak? EDIT: Music stays above 152 the entire time on Decaf's version of "Go Ham" I didn't try door open on music due to batteries needing a charge and ppl complaining. So now I have no idea what's going on. I used both 0dB and -3dB tones coming out with very similar results. But my music score is way higher? I was thinking voltage drop, but at the amps on a burp I drop to 12.6 and on music 12.4 or less if it goes too long. Can anybody explain this? My LVL5s were doing 151 on music, but didn't flex the roof. This one bows my windshield so bad I'm considering a stripper pole. I have no idea wtf. Need an install? Neo_frog
Just not made for the mic... More a demo car.. Which is nothing to be upset about... Maybe so, but it makes no sense. In EVERY car I've seen (other than Meade's recent video ) the burp is always higher. My music is louder sealed up by 4.1dB than my burp score? Come on... Need an install? Neo_frog
Ok here's the deal. In 99.9% of cases, the burp score will be louder. The car peaks at 32hZ sealed. Maximum output without any other ambient noise will be a pure tone at the peak frequency. I've burped tons of vehicles and bassraced them as well never seeing inverse results like this. But to answer your question, it was designed to bassrace. It's just that everybody is hellbent on burp scores for groundpounders so I was going to put some numbers on the charts. Need an install? fritosaregood
did you burp with cds and play music with an mp3 player? I did some testing a few weeks ago with my mojos and was about 5 or 6 db down from my usual score, untill i switched form the cd back to tones on my mp3 player seller feedback: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/ind...showtopic=61719 http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/ind...showtopic=68281 build log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/index.php?showtopic=44800 Gf's build: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/54346-kickergirls-camaro-new-box-pg-5/#entry753970
Beanz
well there the thing its designed for something else rather then burps...if thats the case maybe get a removable port to change out the freq.. That's why they don't deliver. Yer ass better go sit along the side of the road and wait. You can't expect them to travel up some dirt road in a hick / back woods town. Thats how horror movies start I explain things very simply and use analogies in terms of Pickles, and grape drink, pool noodles and jackhammers...if you can't put 2 and 2 together there man, There simply is not much more I can do. Neo_frog
did you burp with cds and play music with an mp3 player? I did some testing a few weeks ago with my mojos and was about 5 or 6 db down from my usual score, untill i switched form the cd back to tones on my mp3 player Burps came off two testing CDs using -3dB and 0dB tones and sweeps. I swept to find peaks, then burped tones on a full charge. Played music from CD as well which was originally an MP3. Again, makes no sense how it's louder. well there the thing its designed for something else rather then burps...if thats the case maybe get a removable port to change out the freq.. If this is honestly true, I need an explanation. It goes against everything I've done, seen, and learned over the past few years. Need an install? Hit me up.[email protected]Got car audio questions?
