CLiP8907 Posted June 28, 2010 Report Posted June 28, 2010 i have a couple of questions... i'm looking into gettin 2 JL W7 13.5.. what would be a good amp to run them with? my budget for an amp will probably be about 400 or somewhere in that neighborhood... all i have right now is a kicker zx 1500.1 "tru watts on it is 1720rms" and i'm looking into getting a 180amp alt from DC.. is that good enough? Crescendo makes some nice 3K amps for like 550 i'm not spendin "squat" on them to tell u the truth.. i'm trading this guy my 3 w3 10s and giving him 275 for his b/c he cant fit them in his G5... Destram Posted June 28, 2010 Report Posted June 28, 2010 The w7s won't take much more than 1k each. Spend $550 if you can and get the Crescendo 3k and put 1500w each. They should handle that, but I wouldn't try putting anything over that. I think the warranty is void after that much anyway. If you don't want to do that, then like was said, you're going to have a hard time finding a good amp to power them for $400 or less.
