port ratio?

Is there any difference between these 3 ports?

30" x 1"

10" x 3"

6" x 5"

they are all 30^2 but is there any difference? More port noise with the thin port? Just curious, going to build a few small boxes and play withe the tuning before I build a box for 4 10" and decide I don't like it lol. I have never seen any certain ratio, but then again, I've never been around people that know what they are doing Thanks

i try and keep under a 9:1 ratio....so scrap the 30"x1" port

something bigger than a 9:1 ratio may have port noise...

my port is 35"x1" and its sounds good. no port noise.

It seems like I've always kept closer to 9:1 just for aesthetic reasons, but never knew if there were rules to it lol. And now I still don't haha. Thanks though.
