NORMAL wire for big 3

Can i use normal 2 gauge wire for big 3.non ofc wire.

i dont see why not its an upgrade from the stock wire, ive seen people do it with 4 gauge cca so im guessing your ok.

someone else might want to give a better opinion though.

of course you can but here in lies the issue. why waste time doing the big 3 upgrade if youre only going to halfass it? definitely a stepup from stock wiring, but if youre going to be in there already, why not just do it like its supposed to. im assuming its a bugdet thing where you can only afford 2g ir have that already lieing around. id wait and save some good wires. its not that expensive where you seriously need to cut back to get it done, lol

what car, what amps, what subs, stock or aftermarket alternator,and what battery reserve if any? how many watts do you even plan on pushing?

Go 1/0 guage. I made the mistake of going 4 guage and later ripping it out to upgrade. Do it proper one time, you wont regret it

Just from my experience, I have a stock 105A alt, and I saw no difference between using one run of 4 gauge, and using two runs, either at idle or at 2000rpm. I think the 2 gauge will be fine. Now, if you are planning on getting an HO alt later, I would hold off and get bigger wire or do multiple runs.

do 0 gauge the first time so you wont have to worry about doin it ever again
