Amps Overheating Majorly Need Advice on Cooling

Recommended Posts

IMO best way to cool it is to move the air back there with some fans. blocking the light will help to some degree but the real problem is the stagnant air that surrounds those amps (& it looks like you have a nice collection of them back there). with the air temp rising & zero fresh air coming in... the amps are only going to continue to get hotter & hotter while heating the air that surrounds them. good luck, looks like you have a nice setup going on

refrigerated water running across the heat sinks should do the trick

look into that

you dont have much room back there though and im not sure how large a unit would be

I was going to say put the windows down til I saw the pics. if you do fans can you funnel the intake from the outside? air will still flow but the smaller opening would cut down on the water and grime that gets in. you follow that?

\/ type opening instead of | | or slant it to the back. instead of straight down

Only problem is that there is no room to do that... The only place that I could do something like that would be on the side of the truck, to the right of the AQ amps... But... Do they make something for sideways vents???? I thought about a crap load of fans... but would only blow hot air around...

I would use non conductive coolant...

You would be using what you think would be non conductive coolant..

I read stories that people lost hardware even tho they had that type of coolant.
