memphisbasshead Posted July 14, 2010 Report Posted July 14, 2010 ok i would like to know what would be a good tuning frequency for me to get loud but still hit hard on the low notes. my sub is a dc audio level 3 15 and most of the music i listen to is rock and some rap i will also be entering spl competitions but i would like it to sound good as a daily driver. fecupe2001 Posted July 14, 2010 Report Posted July 14, 2010 If you get a kind of big box, you could always tune a little high like 40 hz and still pound the lows, or, you could always build a good box where you can change ports, my daily port was tuned @ 41 hz hitting 146.5 dbs and my comps port was tuned @ 51 hz hiting 148 dbs I´m the SPL Gains topic creator!! wanna get louder?? check this: SPL Gains.
