Remove clipping?

Recommended Posts

I was messing around in Audacity and I pressed Normalize and put it to -0.1db and all the clipping in the song disappeared. Is this a way to remove clipping? I'm new to this clipping stuff so please bare with me. Here is a picture

From what I'm given to understand, it will make it less dangerous since you're reducing the peak, but the information that should be there is still gone.

You may be offended by the above. Don't take it personally, I'm just abrasive.
