Autruche
No love for custom wire looms? Damn, well whatever. I got a little start on my new door panels on Tuesday. They are a bit more conservative than my last ones. Here are my last ones I was working on: Linky I'm glad I decided not to actually keep going with them, they would have been a bit overbearing and cumbersome. Anyway, here's the start to my new door panels. Being that I destroyed my stock door panels these ones will have to be a full door panel to replace it. I know how I'm going to go about making them, but I will be taking my time on these to make sure I get it right. The layout: Got the outer shape cut out. Traced it out and cut it out with my jigsaw, then used my 3/8 flush bit the make sure they were perfect copies. Then I got the speaker holes cut out. That's about as far as I got with them for now. I need to cut out the tweeter mounts before I can start rigging them up and glassing them. Hopefully by next Tuesday, if my motivation keeps up, I'll have the lower half of my new doors done as well as my new box. Then I can get started on my pillars. Need Test Tones/Sine Waves? Autruche
Decided to get to work on building the box I designed for my 15 inch RE MT. Here it is: Specs: 4.5 cubes net 93 square inches of port Tuned to 28Hz Design: The build progress: All parts cut out Dry fitting to make sure it all lines up. Sides, rear, one baffle, and port screwed and glued together Bottom screwed on. Sexy port Almost finished, just needs to have the 3rd baffle mounted on it and to have all of the edges trimmed down and rounded over with the router, then prepped for paint. Some bondo and lots of sanding ahead of me, yay. It should go boom. Need Test Tones/Sine Waves? Autruche
Wow... No love for a new box either, you guys are harsh. Oh well, I'll be finishing the box up this weekend, in the meantime what do you guys think of this? BMW E36 (1990-2000 3 Series) headlights in a 9000. Kinda pissed me off seeing as there was one next to my car in the garage for 4 months over the winter and I never thought to try it. Might be one of the first aesthetic mods I do to it when I get it back on the road. Not too sure about Angel Eyes, but I like the perfect fit and the projectors. Need Test Tones/Sine Waves? Autruche
Hmm... It fits! Amazing what a flush cut bit can do to make the edges of your box look better. Before third baffle Well, isn't that just a great start to the day. After third baffle: I don't put my baby in it's car seat without a proper safety harness. Had to make some custom tee nuts for the top and bottom. 8 point safety harness FTW! Now my baby will be safe! A little glassing to seal it all up. Once it's dry the port will be ready for sanding and then I can bondo the outside of the box and sand it to hell and get it ready for primer and paint. Need Test Tones/Sine Waves?
