i think i remember reading somwhere that the rockford components arent all that great except for the power series but those would definately need an amp but dont take my word for it cz ive never heard them in person, just what ive read.

i will probably go with the mb quarts, just b/c i heard lots of good things about them.

dont know where you read that but I have a set of the punch 6.5's in the benz and they are awesome

what kind of amp would work best with the mb quarts??

hifonics I use on mine....puts clean power into my speakers and I got 6 speaker and didn't have a problem with the amp with overheating...
