Battery relocation

Im moving my battery to the trunk. Im using a terminal from a BMW(they have the batt under back seat and a terminal under hood) to connect the alt wire to and run 0 gauge from that terminal to the trunk. The question is, if I have only one wire from alt to terminal, should I still use 2 runs from that terminal to the batteries? Or is it pointless?

If you're moving your stock battery from the hood to the rear, and not replacing it with any storage unit, then it's a matter of length. Just run two to the terminal from alt, then two to the back if it's HO. If not, then run one to the terminal, then one more from alt to battery. You had the right idea.

Thats what I thought, just want to be sure. I wish I could add another run from the alt, barely had enough room for one though. Mustang alt placement is a bitch.

The alt is tucked in the intake manifold, under the throttle body. I'll find a pic.

The space behind the alt is very small. I had force it into place and hold while my boy got the bolts started when I did my big three.

Hmm...well doing a 2-5 foot run would easily carry over 300A on one 1/0 wire. Running dual wires off the post is your best bet in this case like you mentioned.

yeah... really no point in having 2 runs to the back unless there is 2 runs from the alt...

i had planned on doing the same thing with spv70's in the spair tire well... i was going to use a Knukonceptz konfused distro
