EricR Posted November 23, 2010 Report Posted November 23, 2010 i was thinking leave the 12 sitting in the box in the hole and duck tape from the bottom of the sub to the bottom of the baffle so the sub doesnt free air. would that work?

EricR Posted November 23, 2010 Report Posted November 23, 2010 That sunroof is really the killer. You would probably be close to 146 without it. i was thinking leave the 12 sitting in the box in the hole and duck tape from the bottom of the sub to the bottom of the baffle so the sub doesnt free air. would that work?

I know man, I've been saying this forever when people say why aren't you so loud on the meter. I mean, to the ear it feels like a 45+ but the subs have under 3 minutes of playtime, so they still need to loosen up. I'm hoping for a 45 even with the sunroof on the meter. Either way, I'm quite happy with the number, it's almost a 2 db gain from my 10's 4 18's, low power and lots of gay fur. Team gg Team DOA My Videos
n8ball2013 Posted November 23, 2010 Report Posted November 23, 2010 You can get a 145 out of that. Im sure of it. at least with the foam the way it is you should be able to get out most of it easily. drag out the shop vac and stick the nozzle by the area you are cutting/sanding and it should keep the mess down. I'm trying to come up with a way to do mine without foam. The tape makes it look louder than it actually is and I personally love the way it looks. I mean, just a lot of tape might seal, but I don't think you can completely seal it without foam or resined beauty panels.. and if you find a way tell me! 4 18's, low power and lots of gay fur.
