roscoe1129
4" x 2"? 16" deep. maybe i wont be able to face these forward. might have to lay them down and face em up. That will never do....is this for an explorer? if so I would suggest a crx (subs up port back) box Quote Some people need a sympathetic pat... on the head...with my hammer Scientia est Vox "In Nomine Patris et Filii et Spiritus Sancti" DONT BE AFRAID TO USE THE SEARCH BUTTON!!! Torres
explorer yes. that's what i originally had in mind, but some people here were saying it'd be best if each sub had it's own chamber. which complicated a few things. i could do 2 different crx boxes, port facing the trunk, then for the front one, face the port foward. each with it's own chamber. possibly? roscoe1129
that is entirely up to you, however you will reach max spl in that vehicle using either the crx style or a wall with the port on the driver side. Torres
crx style would be a lot simpler to make. all 4 subs be ok in one box like that? cuz i want it for daily driving hands down, but to compete when the time comes. or two crx boxes (one forward, one backward) like the before post mentioned. if i have to sacrifice a db or two to keep it daily, then so be it. basically one loud mofo of a daily driver

roscoe1129
The BOSS Steve, Me, Kingsuv, and quite a few others all use ours as daily beaters. We all have single chambers. Mine was built more for daily beating than anything. Oh and thanx! what I was going for Edited July 30, 2007 by roscoe1129 Quote Some people need a sympathetic pat... on the head...with my hammer Scientia est Vox "In Nomine Patris et Filii et Spiritus Sancti" DONT BE AFRAID TO USE THE SEARCH BUTTON!!! Torres
hell yes. i wasnt sure steve's was daily or not. and this is the first time i saw yours. the first pic of all the amps made my jaw literally drop open. back to calculating new measurements. going for 16 cubes of air this time. going to post about the port again thanks for the help so far. i appreciate it like a ton Edited July 30, 2007 by ExpoSport
Torres
ok new dimensions of the box are: 42"W x 19.5"H x 41.5"L. gives 16.03 cubes of air, after wood and sub displacement. port - 9.08 x 9.08 x 5.26 now to go start measuring...
