new amp, any ideas?

Right now i've got an 86 toyota pick-up x-cab, runnin a 10" kicker cvt and a kicker 700.5, im goin to be gettin 2 10" alpine type-r's, it says that rms on 1 of them is 50-500 watts, i know someone that is runnin 1000 watts to one of them , the amp im lookin at gettin is a boss audio mono 1500W RMS x 1 @ 4-ohms 2700W Max x 1 @ 2-ohms 3500W Max x 1 @ 1-ohms and i wanna know if this is too much or if i should try a different amp or what

What model is the Boss? Type r's need clean power to handle 1000 each, but its possible.
