Emoxihax Posted August 2, 2010 Report Posted August 2, 2010 How much to do the entire trunk of a neon? is one 6"x25' roll enough? or 2? possibly double coat to really stop the rattles(plus the spoiler likes to make noise so it would help I'm assuming) Quote 2004 Volkswagen GLI 1 10" Skar VVX ^^^ Looking for an amp to run it, Pm me if you have one ^^^
Toady Posted August 2, 2010 Report Posted August 2, 2010 (edited) Dude im no gonna bash on you or the product, but for as many layers as it will take to stop the rattles, you would be beter off buying secondskin. Ant is on here nd he is a cool guy, they have great prices, especially right now, they had a deal going on 50%off Damplifier, I don't know if it's still going on tho. but not to hate on Peel and Seal, but i don't think its very effective, a couple of people on here have installed it, and i saw one thread where a guy put it on and after a demo 85% fell off you wouldn't need more than 45 sq^ft Edited August 2, 2010 by Toady Quote
CheezyMane13 Posted August 2, 2010 Report Posted August 2, 2010 Think about it, your trunk is 5ft wide which includes the sides, and about 3-4ft deep.Tehn you have the back where the latch is and the actual trunk itself. Say 25 cubic feet for one coat. One roll of Peel N Seal is 12.5 cubic feet. Two rolls per layer. So 4 rolls for 2 layers Quote take baby steps, u cant do it all at once unless u have a roll of 100's big enough to choke a donkey 1998 Chevy Venture "Swagger Wagon" Kenwood Excelon KDC-X994 Headunit 3 15" Alpine Type R's in seperate T-Lines 1 RF T1500-1bd for 2 of the 15s 1 RF P1000-1bd for the single 15 3 sets of Hifonics Zeus ZXi6.5C Components( 1 more set to come for Front stage) 1 Hifonics HFi100.4 4-channel amp Stock alt for now (DC HO SPL 400A when funds come in,currently working on buying this) Stock battery and one Optima Redtop for now (looking at XS batteries) 3 15" Alpine Type R's (aka Swagger Wagon Build 1.0) Swagger Wagon Build 2.0 Youtube Videos
BeatBox Posted August 2, 2010 Report Posted August 2, 2010 i used it and ill never use it again lol id go with some second skin, the peel and seal on some areas started to un stick...if anything i would only use it for the flat floor area of the trunk Quote

Tek Posted August 2, 2010 Report Posted August 2, 2010 Its only good for the floor since it wont fall off, you should still layer it up big time tho even when u do that Quote
Emoxihax Posted August 3, 2010 Author Report Posted August 3, 2010 I shoulda got into a cheaper hobby but in the end, it's worth it. just gotta live with the rattles for a bit longer I suppose, damn college fund getting in the way!
