I want to say it happened when I jumped my car, but how does that much power go through the RCA's? I thought they were only signal? It fried my Diablo Audio Tech amp, it only goes into protect now. The RCA's were so fucked that they bubbled and the casing melted to my carpet. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks, Dom. Current: Two old school Orion HCCA 12's, No amp currently. Alex K Posted August 5, 2010 Report Posted August 5, 2010 i've heard that if you're grounds are bad, or done wrong, amps, or maybe its the HU, will try anything to ground itself, meaning it could have tried to ground through your rcas. 2006 Nissan Z Track. huh?do-what? Posted August 5, 2010 Report Posted August 5, 2010 is the radio itself grounded very well? Take a voltmeter and measure the ohms between the radio ground and the negative battery terminal. God damn its hot today. My balls are stuck to my leg.
