It´s truth, they do their rated pwoer @ 16v just like my old cadence, but, i had a xxx 4000.1 for about two weeks on the sexplorer, and i was impressed how clean and loud it was playing, besides that, they take 0.5 ohms daily playing and 0.25 ohms for burps without any problems, i agree with you their aren´t the best, but they are very very nice imo I´m the SPL Gains topic creator!! wanna get louder?? check this: SPL Gains. bkolfo4
His battery idea is wrong. Think about this: 270 amp alt Estimate 30 amps for the car 240 amps @ 14.8 volts = 3550 watts Assume 75% efficient amp Anything over 2700 watts will be more than the alt can provide for. . .going to need batteries. Current system: 1997 Blazer - (4) Customer Fi NEO subs with (8) American Bass Elite 2800.1s Previous systems: 2000 Suburban - (4) BTL 15's and (4) IA 40.1's = 157.7 dB at 37 Hz. 1992 Astro Van - (6) BTL 15's and (6) IA 40.1's = 159.7 dB at 43 Hz. Exactly. You will need batteries with that much power even if you are running the car. Otherwise, when you use up all the current your alt can provide, your voltage will drop and magic smoke will come out of your amps unless they save you by going into protect first. 97 Maxima SE Bunch of shit going in, check out the build Build Log

fecupe2001
No no, with a single alt it´s more than enough imo, use a nice big ass mechman and some nice batteries, Kinetik HC2400, powermaster D3100, nsb90 all are very nice, biggest one you can fit under the hood and 2 or 3 big ass batteries on the back should do the work I´m the SPL Gains topic creator!! wanna get louder?? check this: SPL Gains.
