thebull1tt Posted August 7, 2010 Report Posted August 7, 2010 I just blew the tinsel lead right through the spider of my Image Dynamics IDMAX12 yesterday. The tinsel leads are frayed and I have no impedance reading with my meter. I'm going to replace the cartridge on it soon but I want to replace the sub with something that has tinsel leads stitched to the spider, can handle more than 1000watts RMS, and is meant for a (small) sealed enclosure (around 1.3 cu. ft.). I'm looking at a Fi Q right now with all of the options (I don't know if the leads are stitched to the spider though). I'm also looking at the SSA XCON. I think that can handle the power in a sealed enclosure just fine with 31mm of Xmax. What do you guys think? Any other options?
