I would do that, but for the time being I need it for the little bit of air coming in to cool my ecu. Otherwise I would totally do that

I may be wrong here, and I apologize if I am. But isn't your ECU, behind your firewall??

And another filter I've had great experience with personally is the HP filters from Spectre. I love them and they aren't as pricey as K&N.

I'd hit that so fucking hard whoever pulled me out would be King of England.

Lol... looks like we were on the same page. Car-B-Ques suck.

ya, tires and paint burning make the marshmallows taste funny.

Most ecu's I believe are. But they decided to put it under the hood. It's the thing with wires coming out of it right next to the black open box. And ok. I've heard of specter but hadn't heard if they where good or not. Thanks.

That's wild as hell, I've never seen an ECU under hood. And you're local Autozone should carry the HP filters by Spectre btw.

Don't mean to bump this up but if you want you could relocate the battery and direct the intake to where the battery used to sit, then put a heat shield between it and the engine. Won't see much gain but it's better then right next to the engine.

i would do that, but there is no where else to mount the battery with out taking other stuff out. the current intake tube i have on there is only temporary until i can get a real CAI for it or a short ram tube that has a different angle to it. i agree that it is too close to the engine. i'm going to research other sort ram kits soon. to hold over fo just a little longer.

My friend's Shadow had the same setup, with intake air cooling the ECU. We put two short 90's of tube on it (from the oem intake) and attached a computer fan to it to make sure there was still airflow. You could do something like that.

Too many projects, too little time...

yeah. i was accually thinking of doing that. i kinda wanted to get rid of the extra tubing. i have several around i could use. thanks for the reminder though.
