Okay, I have done this recently and the box will look really nasty when you remove the carpeting. But I did use some solvents, and a rag, and rubber gloves. It take a while to do, but I forgot what I used, I think it was kinda like Acetone maybe? But it smelled really harsh. And worked really good. Just be easy take your time, once you get all the glue off, get some sand paper and sand it till its smooth as a babies butt. If you are lonely and think nobody cares........ just skip a couple of truck payments...

JDDAudio12
damn i see around 3 hours of work already. lol. Yeah, just get a razor knife, and start in a corner and peel off as much as you can, its gonna be a little sticky haha. But it took me about 4/5 hours to get every bit of glue off, and maybe an 1/2 hours to sand. If you are lonely and think nobody cares........ just skip a couple of truck payments... Autruche
I'd try cutting as much of it off as possible with a razor and a putty knife or something and try using a belt sander to get the bits that stay stuck off of the box, but I'm not sure how your box is exactly.
