Ji553r Posted August 20, 2010 Report Posted August 20, 2010 with those 2 being your only concern go to walmart get their base liine JVC head unit i have had mine 2 1/2 years working great not a single problem and 3.5 mm jack up front for ipod. even got a little bit of EQ options. worst thing is prolly only 1 preamp @ about 2.5 volts i think......then again only 60$ I don't fuck around. jinx Posted August 20, 2010 Report Posted August 20, 2010 i have an alpine cda-105 and i bought it brand new at best buy for i think $220 or so after tax and it came with an ipod cable and i love it 2 15" Kicker 08 dual 4 ohm L7's down to 1 ohm, 220 amp alternator, PPI art series a404.2 4 channel, alpine cda-105 HU, memphis audio doors, audiobauhn tweets, hifonics BRZ2400.1D, 0 gauge wire, pioneer 5x7's

Robert8252 Posted August 20, 2010 Report Posted August 20, 2010 Pioneers are supposed to be the best for iPod support ni have the x994 and like it a lot and only paid $225 for it from hookedontronics. Great radio and I like the features and it controls my iPhone pretty good plus built in Bluetooth, 5 band eq and pretty good setting the average Joe could use. Alpine 117 is a newer one from them that's ok for SQ but it's similar to their old 8997 but lacking a lot of the EQ but that model is discontinued. Most pioneers have a pretty good EQ and sound quality is partially personal preference since head units tend to have a little of their own affect to musics sound. Like brightness or rich you could say.
