corteznewbie
We're going to have doors go over the battery compartments, and the doors will have metal mesh in them for venting, the batteries are just temporary until he can afford to upgrade though. Bare minimum i want him to get some sealed batteries like optimas or something. Geeze, quit rushing me guys, he's not even here yet, lol. car quest does agm batteries for under a 100 a battery Team DBs (Driven By sound)

The bad news, I am WAY too tired to upload anything right now, I've been up for over a day and need some damn sleep. Plus, the neighbors router is down (I steal their internet, lol) and I am stuck with my other neighbor's super slow weak connection right now. Autruche
were do I join team newspl? :pNice build man, get lots a bracing and vids and you should be set! We're still in the process of trying to get the team started, I have no experience with this, but if we can get it to the actual team status, I'll let you in if you want. After turning it on and watching that sub flex that box on just a few hundred watts, it's definitely getting braced. car quest does agm batteries for under a 100 a battery Really? We'll have to check that out, we actually do have a car quest near here. Need Test Tones/Sine Waves? Autruche
Alright, some pics? why not? Started working on the port faces. This is how not to use a table saw, unless you know what you're doing. Finishing the port face. Had to trim the ports down. I had to crunch the numbers to make sure everything was perfect, the box came out to 6.5 cubic feet, after all displacements. 36 hz port is 96 square inches, and 32 hz port is 80 square inches. Autruche
Gluing the ports to their faces I used clamps to hold the faces onto each other, that way I could have every hole line up, which is necessary to not have any problems with random holes when it comes to interchangeable ports. This is what kept me going all day. FINALLY IT'S IN! Need Test Tones/Sine Waves? Autruche
How about a quick vid? We needed to see if it would come to life, and we decided to get it on video. It was past 9 pm and I live in a trailer park, so we weren't going to crank it for too long. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xtg5bLmo5Rw http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xtg5bLmo5Rw Doesn't seem impressive, but the kid sitting in the passenger seat said he felt his eyeballs rattling, When we get it dialed in tomorrow and I get the speakers rewired, we will have more videos. The truck had the stupid built-in remote amplifier, so having the speaker leads hooked up to the amp makes the treble loud and distorted, so we will be rewiring them, and then we can dial the sub in. as I don't have access to an o-scope yet, I will be tuning the amp in for about 1500 watts with my DMM, until we get the second alternator and I can track down an O-scope.
