The bigger the better! You could just add another 3400.

I don't have the batteries yet, and the D3100 has about twice the aH as the D3400 and is cheaper. Also, doesn't each extra battery but about an additional 5 amp load on the electrical?

Should be no problem at all. My old school orion 2500d is pulling current draw up to 400amps at .5ohm, yes 400. I have 270xp and a d1200 front and two d3100 in the back. I drop only .4-.7volts at full tilt.

I would say make the wires easily accessible and wire it to higher resistance for daily and .5 for comp. You could be fine with .5 but you'll need fans and stuff to keep everything kool and you may end up hating hearing fans after a song ends.

This is a strictly daily system. I doubt ill mind the fans. I'll hook them up to a switch. I just wanna end up around 1 ohm so I "get what I pay for" lol

To give you an idea. I have a 270XP in my car. had a saz-3500D @ .5 ohm. Never dropped below 14v. Even for 5 minute songs revving in park at 2krpms. I had a d2400 xs in the front and d2700 in the back.

look at my electrical \/ i have 2 crescendo 3ks at .5ohm. i believe i still need to turn them up a decent amount but so far i didnt drop below 14v. i believe you will be in the safe zone.

actually i believe its 10amps. but thats what the alt is for! charging batteries lol.
