  1. Oh crap, so mine's consider outdated xlm1 now? Because of vent pole? Xlm2 has different pole vent. I like the new motors with better cooling. Which is better for coils longeitivy, i assume? Look like i am gonna shop for new subs in near future.
  2. The box might be slightly big,i agrees. Im thinking about shrink down to 3.25cubes per sub after displacement. Im not burning coils. Thanks for your everybodys input
  3. Right now im running 2 15xlm1 and mojo 4kw at .5ohm. I believe the 15xlm1 is 1,500rms? The amp is overpowering the subs a bit, wondering if its worth to recones them to m2? They do get loud but would it be noticeable louder if I get them reconed?
  4. Hmm, I'll try that first before I get new batterires. I still have faith in d3100's.
  5. My original thread - http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/171580-two-d3100-sat-for-1-year-still-good-to-go/ I know, it's completely my fault for not running two d3100 for one year. After charged them, they held up for only few months and now both are dead. One d3100(was 11.5v) was drawing power from other 3100 the whole time. Its not good at all man. I was daily driving them in my '07 f350 with stock 110amps alternator along with upgraded 1/0 gauges. My real question, are my d3100 out of warranty? I purchased them about 3 years ago. I am looking into two S3400 batteries. Anybody can give me good deal on them? PS- my sig is really old. I dont drive the 4runner anymore.
  6. after 24 hours sat, one read 12.8v (was 11.5v), the other one read 12.9v (was 12.5v). Seems they're good to go. hope it'll hold up.
  7. I measured 12.3v while charging at 2 amps for few hours then switched to 15amps now. I'll see how it go. Im hoping it will be okay *crossed finger*
  8. I have two d3100 sat for one year. One read 11.5v and the other one read 12.5v. I am charging the 11.5v at 2amps, just to be safe rather than 15amps. Is the one with 11.5v done? Do I need to replace it? I know the 12.5v is ok. I am using the powermaster charger.
  9. Alcoholic: Pina Colada Non-Alcoholic: Water, Chocolate milk and White Chocolate Mocha Starbucks!
  10. What kind of belt do you have for 270XP? Got any belt slip? As for box, i like my subs up on the drivers side and port on the passenger side. I have tried facing them back. I don't like the way it is. Haven't tried facing them forward. I will try it.
  11. thanks. this isn't what i am looking for. i need more power.
  12. Oh, no worries! yeah the amp is mofo hungry power.
  13. Thanks man. I don't know about add more power but it is loud as $#!+ already. I am only feeding 1.5k rms per sub. I know they can handle up to 3k from what i read in DC forum.
  14. Should be no problem at all. My old school orion 2500d is pulling current draw up to 400amps at .5ohm, yes 400. I have 270xp and a d1200 front and two d3100 in the back. I drop only .4-.7volts at full tilt.
  15. I thought my two orion h2 15's were badass subs. I ran them for about one year and then one sub blown. So I bought two 15" DC XL to see what all the fuss with XL. I just hooked up two XL 15's today and totally blew me away. I now know why people love their XL subs. DC XL ftw! for anyone who is interest to see my build. here is the LINK
  16. **PICS HAS BEEN REMOVED** my dc subs put shame on my two old orion h2 15's. No comparison. love my DC XL.
  17. I am hoping that the new DC XL get louder than my two Orion H2 15's. Anyway here's my building... DC power engineering 270XP alt two XS d3100's back, one d1200 front two DC XL 15's Orion 2500d(chrome) [email protected] 50ft stinger HPM i am building box that is 8cubes tuned to 40hz. Yes i know it is high for daily driving but i like the way it is. I have done tuned to 28-33hz, 40-43hz, even 52hz daily in the past time. **PICS HAS BEEN REMOVED**
