Sundown audio Sa 12 off an aq1200

A SA12 isn't made to handle that amount of power, and this guy just starts out with car audio, it's not wise to tell him to overpower a sub by double it's RMS.

A SA 12 on 600W should work well.

EDIT: it can handle more , but i wouldn't advise you to overpower it. ;)

i would get the fi q 12 with cooling option, extra spider option, high qts option, and make it dual 2 ohm so you can get a 1 ohm load. it should be around $310 shipped. then i would build a 1.25 cubic ft sealed enclosure (saves space) which would cost about $35 to make. then i would get a audiopipe ap1500.1d http://cgi.ebay.com/AUDIOPIPE-AP15001D-1500W-MONO-D-Car-Audio-Amplifier-/350386109025?pt=Car_Amplifiers

and that should be a pretty bangin system and it'll sound real clean too :drinks:

here is another great sub that would go great with that audiopipe amp http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=293-658

the lms-r is a really clean sounding sub and has amazing sq but it can still slam 8)

also whatever sub you chose i can design you a box for free if you want.

Competition Sub Box: 3.10 cubic ft. net tuned to 50.58 hz with 2 6 inch aeroports, 147.9 @ 62 hz sealed on the dash with termlab
