I've gotten a noise violation ticket before.. Still haven't paid it, I should get on that I was supposed to have it paid by May.

But my city is cracking down on everything that makes noise, all after market parts on cars, etc... Even Intakes. =/

What I don't like, is how the motorcycles pipes are waaaaay louder, yet they don't have to quiet down.

I just know Myself when its 10..11..12 pm etc at night and some jackass comes through my neighborhood bumping hard and wakes my 2 year old daughter up..It really really pisses me off..

But really, there are no shops around me anymore because of this shit. I live up in Erie Pennsylvania now for college and decided to go down the road to a shop (Enormis Mobile Specialties) and they seemed rather surprised that my buddy Dustin (DGold) and I knew anything, let alone ran DC Audio, Crescendo, and Audioque. When people roll through town at 2 a.m. blasting Young Jeezy (or even A Milli because that's all the lower they can play) people gets pissed and complain. Shit comes back to the stereo shop because they specialize in these "boom cars." What a load of shit. Business is being driven away, that's why shops are scarce anywhere around my house an hour south of here. No business. And people want to make a difference by hopping onto these noise pollution websites acting like total assclowns saying "I gon break all ya windows wit ma bass from ma fo' 18"s, ya heard meh?" Seriously, what the fuck? No wonder they don't give two shits when you try to reason or even discuss the matter with them. They are as bad as PETA.

And not to mention, more shops = more competition = better pricing for the community. They would be able to make their sales and I would be more than happy supporting them. Great people over at Enormis Audio, I just can't afford to give up on online dealers and drop the same money on a Fosgate p3 as I did on my DC Level 4XL.

i feel lucky that noise violations are minimal in my area just turn your system down after 10am and the cops leave you alone. I know when i was at collage i got three warnings for noise violations with the subs off!!! this was in Nashville TN and thier law was if they can hear it from 50' its illegal most stock systems can break that law!

I find these topics to be both COMPLETELY USELESS and funny at the same time.

You all talk about this "bumping responsibly" thing. What is bumping responsibly? Really.

You mean to tell me that none of you listen to your stereos any louder than is needed for you to hear?

So when and where is it ok to turn your stereo up? Is it ok to do it in a parking lot just because that's not a residential area? Is it ok to shake store fronts just so you can make a stupid you tube video? Oh, its only ok to listen to your stereo full blast when your doing 70 down the freeway right?

Get real people and most of all get over yourself. If you want anyone to believe that you spent all that money on your stereo, yet you never ever ever listen to it at a level where someone else can hear it, your an idiot.
