I feel as if the sound would be kind of muffled since it's a marine speaker but i've never heard them so i don't know. I feel as if the sound would be kind of muffled since it's a marine speaker but i've never heard them so i don't know. Sound is closer to the T2, because they both have aluminum dome tweeters. The sound is definitely not muffled. Just remember that the entire new Rockford line was all built off of the marine speakers. Rockford tested all their new ideas on the marine equipment first a couple years back then integrated those technologies through-out their entire lineup. The tweeters are super loud, but not overly bright and the mid-bass from the 8" driver is phenomenal!! Panels foamed in and fiberglass-ed. Here you can see the core-mat for screw retention. Bondo-ed up! Panel reassembled with factory fabric. Making a trim panel to cover the area under the speaker where the factory grill was located. Readjusted my amps witht the dd-1 and all I have to say is the dd-1 is super impressive. My subs are way louder and cleaner, I no longer have engine noise on highs.
