45 Degree angles on a box, does it make the tuning lower or higher?

if you dont calculate for them then they are taking up airspace and they make the tuning higher. but if you account for the loss in airspace, no. they dont change tuning.

well it would take some cubes away from the box so technically if you ad 45's and do not change your port it will raise your tuning

what if ya look at it from a velocity point of view? i.e. a really smooth port with 45's\curfs would flow better, hence higher speed of air = lower tunning compared to a port of equal length\area with no 45's or any kind of smoothing

well let me add this to your theory. putting resin inside the box raises tuning, if only slightly.

and 45*s dont always help. some times you are louder without them. what it all means for tuning? i havnt a clue beyond the airspace factor.
