slim2fattycake
Countersink your holes. It helps with the splitting of the mdf and it flushes your screws. Invest in clamps. Those two seams you showed were kinda bad. It would be really bad if you had those seams and owned clamps. lance_98main
you might be pre drilling the holes, but are you countersinking them. is it splitting when the head goes in , if so take a bigger drill bit the size of the head or bigger and just drill maybe a 1/16 to and 1/8 inch in to stop that from happening. 2000 2dr blazer 15" diamond audio d3 4 cubic ft. tuned @ 32hz (slot port, sub back, port back) debating on a wall or no wall. moetpoppin
Its not splitting where the heads are, so countersinking wont be an issue, but I think I'll do it next time for fun. That way I can putty up and glass over the screws Its splitting where I drill through and into the edge of the next piece. I think I didnt drill large enough holes. Because last time I had a little stripping of the wood, so I wanted to make sure that didnt happen again The reason I built this box was so that I could work out all my kinks on a pair of Pyles before I end up rebuilding my box for my car system. ty TY Moet poppin', hoe hoppin', aint no stoppin' B.I.G. poppa, I'm a bad boy Party and Bullshit - The Notorious B.I.G. bobonit
I think having the port right under the shelf like that will choke it. Other than that, it looks like you took a couple of lemons and made some lemonade.
