  1. Was a 300 watt craig amp. Dont remember a model number, but actually did ok.
  2. I got it wile i was deployed. Yes it can get really annoying. Especiall when im at a resteraunt or trying to go to sleep. Just something your going to have ti deal with. I would stiil let a doc check it out, just to make sure thats what it is.
  3. I have a single 15 d3 in a 4 cubic ft. Net slot port sub and port back its tuned at 32hz in a 2000 2 dr. Blazer and i metered a 140.9 with roughly 700 watts rms on it. I love this sub. I would recommend 4 cubes especially if u plan on overpowering them. I wouldnt be afraid to go a little under 4 cubes either. I would say the sweet spot would be 3.5 -4 cubes.
  4. I would def go with the 18, the lvl 4's are beasts. What amp are you using to push your choices??
  5. Take a power tester and find a different wire in your vehicle that comes on when u turn your ignition on, run your remote wire off of that. See if it solves the problem.
  6. i checked the tuning with torres as well, and if the dimensions are right it's tuned at 38.77 hz. FYI
  7. Nice looking box!!! I love ports to the side to. How does it sound, and what are you pushing them with amp wise??
  8. hey chode how does that thing hit the lows??? and what is the box orientation??(sub back port back etc..)
  9. thats what i was going to say 12 months once and 14 the other. You join the military regardless the branch, your deploying, thats all there is to it. Good luck to you though man.
  10. ^^^^ this, but if it's only between the soundstream and the hifonics, I would go with the soundstream!!
  11. Welcome I'm from Tiffin, bout 30 miles south-west of Sandusky(where cedar point is).
  12. This is like when we were kids and saying; "I know someone that likes you, but I'm not telling" lmao Awesome build Steve. can't wait to see some vids of these in action.
  13. i'm sure the lvl 8's will be neo magnets, so it may happen, just 14 inch mounting depth on the 8". Love the lvl 6 b a utiful sub!!
  14. chode that pic is now my backround. give me a better one to put there!!! lol, just playing, but seriously lets see some good ones.. oh yeah. please...................
  15. build a box tuned at 30 if u don't like it build another and tune it higher, or rebuild with more port, or whatever it takes till you like it.
  16. go to car audio deals and get a audiopipe ap15001d it's a pretty good amp, and might be like 160 or something shipped. Lot of people my not agree that the amp is very good but they are awesome amps especially for the money. if you don't want that look into an audioque 1200d they are fairly cheap as well and really good amps, and will put out more than rated where as the audiopipe puts out like 50-100 watts rms less than rated at 1 ohm, so like 1400-1450 watts rms @ 1 ohm. enjoy your stereo man
  17. if they are dual 2 ohms, you might want to look into an amp that puts out more power at 2 ohms, like an audiopipe ap18001 or something else with ~ 900-1000 watts @ 2 ohms.
  18. yeah what a load of s@#T. Posts this just to tease all of us, what a crock. come on let us see it. Pleeeeaaaaaaasssssssssssseeeee
  19. oh come on man, talk about a sub tease. Watched 4 mins of video off of dsl(so took a few mins to watch it) and didn't even get to watch the subs moving. lol hurry up and get a vid of it playing. PLEASE!!lol
  20. around here where i live in ohio it's 32 dollars for a sheet of 3/4 inch mdf. So farely cheap, i get it for free, and they are 5x10 foot sheets. woo hoo. love building boxes. lol. enjoy your build man, and make sure you do a build log.
  21. What ever you do go ported, but you could get a 15"xl or lvl 5.Or get 2 12 "xl's or lvl 5's.. But i think the single 15 would be bad ass. I love single sub systems, nice to get loud and say you only have 1 sub, but thats personl preference. Any of these set ups you go with you will have plenty of power. My opinion would be to go with the lvl 5 15. There are also other sub companies you could look into, like Ascendant audio, or FI. But go with a high model sub like aa smd's or mayhems, or FI BTL. You have the amp, now get the sub/subs to go with it. Any of these set-ups will be respectable on the meter. I have 1 15" diamond audio d3 rated at 500 watts rms, and running around 900 on it for a long time now, and it handles it like a champ, I have just about broke 140 db with it to. It's almost all in the box build, and whats great they are cheap and easy to build multiple times till you get the sound and numbers you like, so enjoy your build man, i'm in the process of re building mine for not sure what size and amount of subs, but going for 150 mark, and i'm enjoying every second of it.
  22. I have a friend that asked me the same thing about this amp, so hopefully someone answers. If it doesn't i would imagine it does close, cuz db drive is a descent company.
  23. i would agree with getting a dual sport to learn to ride on, but you have a higher seat height then other bikes with one, and you will get bored with it quick. i would buy the bike you plan on owning for a while right off the start. you will get the hang of riding real fast, and then you will already have the bike you want, and won't be spending a crap ton more money getting two bikes. The main thing to learn is throttle control and clutch control. once you get that you'll be good to go, and will want a bigger bike.
