Pawn Shops

So I'm a little short for cash right now and I decided to take my subs to the pawn shop in my town to see if I could get some $$. I have 2 brand new 12" power acoustik fubars in a custom box tuned to 35hz, sanded edges and painted silver/blue two-tone to match the subs. In the end I put around $300 into all of it. Took it to the shop right, and the guy was like "yeah, you see here on the magnet it says 800rms, most subwoofers can handle more than 3000. I'll give you $40 for them." I just looked at him amazed at what I just heard lol.. He had 2 10" sony xplodes in a sealed box sitting on the floor with a tag on it for $159..

Yeah, just wanted to share that with somebody, because I've been laughing about it all day.

sometimes you find nice stuff it goes very good, but as for your sub sell them locally with the peak rating it would sell faster...

I was hoping I could just pawn them off and pick em back up in a few weeks so I can get some cash together..

Lol, gotta watch out for dodgy pawn shops, your probably better off only buying stuff from them and not selling them anything too high quality. He was probably BSing you, I bet he'd sell them for more than the xplods, thinking that you didn't know better, which gave him a good chance too rip you off. You sure showed him. Lol
