I think Steve mead is a savage and i wanna be just like him. Im buying a Rockford Fosgate t2500 amp, and this amp puts out 2500watts at 1ohm and at 2ohm. Steve says this amps sheet showed it put out 3300 watts.

If i wired my AA/SMD 18" to 2ohm with this amp, will it hit that 3300 watts or is this only in 1ohm.

And if i wire it to 2ohms ill have to buy a duel 1ohm Sub right. And if i wire it to 1ohm load, ill need a duel 2ohm Sub correct.

In my set up all i want is

1 Rockford Fosgate t2500

1 AA/smd 18"

1 xs D3100 bat

1 upgraded alternator.

And since im buying that 400 dollar bat, witch says its good for up to 4000 watts, will i need an alternator?

Also what would be the best Cubic feet for a box for a single. says 4-7. So a 6.5 tuned at 33z would work awesome right?

I just want to know the basics before i go spend 2000 dollers and not know what im doing.

This is all i can think about right now. Thanks to who ever helps me out.

Every amp is different. But It's pretty much guaranteed you will have over 2500 watts. Each amp should come with a birth sheet telling you want that particular amp can do. And You are correct about the ohm loads and voice coils part.

Honestly, I'd say just get a batt and possibly upgrade your front one too. And the big 3 is a must. Just watch your voltage and if it gets really low even with the batts, an alternator might be needed.

I dont know much about enclosures so I can't give any advice there.

My main concern is, that if you get 2500 watts at 1ohm and 2500 watts at 2ohm. Will the birth sheet be the same for 1ohm and 2ohm... or will 1ohm be higher.

Guess what im asking is, Will my AA/SMD 18" get more RMS with 1ohm or 2ohm.

I've never personally delt with those amps, but generally speaking, an amp will make more power ant a lower ohm load. So the rms at 1 ohm could be higher than at 2 ohms. The birth sheet will tell you how much.

if your really concerned, buy the amp first, then order the sub when you see the birthsheet.

Good idea, i found 1 on a site thats 900 bucks, sounds like an awesome deal. Might order it next week.

Thanks for the info so fare. And thanks for Info to be added.

This might sound dumb, but does each amp get test seperate and get a birthing sheet, or is this just tested 1 time on this model.. then they put that sheet with all amps?

each amp is tested and given an individual birthsheet.

haha it's no problem. That's what SMD is for, everyone usually helps, but not all are on this late. Lol, anything more, just ask.
