Crate motor from edelbrock!!!

For real tho a good place to start is your intake and Exhaust system.

Good intake manifold and Exhaust manifold ( or even better perfromance headers )

How far are you gonna go with it. You could have the block machined, new deck height, bore the cylinders to a bigger bore, get a crank with longer stroke, agressive cam, CNC heads. It goes on and on.

Intake and Exhaust Manifolds, complete new exhaust system, cold air intake, port and polish, new pistons, etc...... basically the whole shebang.

Oh wrap ur headers in that heat tape so it will keep the heat in and not let it go everywhere else.

i dont want to do anything too extreme... just something to make it slightly obvious that its more powerful than stock... exhaust and header and intake are a given...

heres what deal is... the piston rings are worn out... she smokes pretty good when i get on it hard... and it burns about a half quart of oil per week... it does run a tad rough... i mean just barely... it kinda sounds like its missing so im thinking timing chain

i have NEVER seen that.... headers wrapped in header wrap yes heads no and ive seen some pretty high HP cars......

try running thicker oil to help with the oil burning

id so a nice free flowing exhaust and intake and if you pull head off port and polish it
