gotboom88 Posted September 15, 2010 Report Posted September 15, 2010 hey everybody I just bought a Alpine V-power MRP-M500 monoblock amp and im running them with 2 12 inch JL Audio 12WX-4 4 ohm single voice coil subs with 250 RMS Max. Here is the specs for the amp. 300 watts RMS x 1 at 4 ohms (500 watts RMS x 1 at 2 ohms). So if I ran positive to positive and negative to negative from my sub to my amp on this amp I would be pushing 250 watts on each sub to equal out 500? Kind of like a parallel type hookup.

That mono block pushes my two kicker 15' comps rated at 250 rms each wired in parallel. That amp will work for the subs perfectly just get the right amp kit:)

That amp will work for the subs perfectly just get the right amp kit:) Thank god! lol. Im currently running 6 gauge schosche power and ground wire. 12 gauge speaker wire, and twisted cable RCA's.

I herd your ground wire has to be the same as your power wire.?
