Speakers make no noise at all

My moms speakers blew in her Durango, I was replaceing the 6.5 separates with a coax cuz it's cheaper. But when I got everything hooked up the speaker wouldn't play. Not even mid bass

Any help appreciated

Yes all the regular speakers even the ones with the tore surround still play. It's just I can't get anything at all from the new ones, all I did was direct swap the wires

Does it have the infinity system? Maybe the factory speakers were 8 ohm and the new ones are 4? It would give a funky ohm load and could cause the factory amp to shut off. I know I've had similar trouble with the infinity stuff before, had to just run new speaker wires, but I put in a new deck at the same time.

Yes it had the infinity components, il look up what ohm they are.

check the outputs with a dmm? thats odd a 8ohm amp will shut dwn with 4ohm load, didnt think stock was that advanced! lol

It shouldn't be 8 ohms everything I've read an seen says all the infinity stuff is 2 ohms, but that wouldn't cause a speaker to literally not move at all
