knu wire

i have a buddy who used this wire 3 differnt times in differnt car he said each time he was getting a nasty voltage drop but changed his wire out and it was all good.

anyone else have this problem with knu wire?

I use Knu wire and my voltage does drop to a certain degree, but i havent tried any other type of wire to see if it would correct this problem -__-

I've heard nothing but good things about Knu wire, it's what I'll be using in my build this winter.

most likely, he probably had a loose connection/ ring terms somewhere so when he changed it out he didnt change the connectors.

My vote goes towards the possible fact that he had not soldered the terminals and the wire got icky (drawing a blank).

Tell him to solder all terminals and the wire will last FOREVER.

I think you mean corroded?

I run knu and I haven't seen any problems. I'm gonna go with the loose connection theory or some other possible factor to do with the vehicles themselves.

What style of wire are you all using for power/grounds from knu? Flex or the other stuff with aluminum?

fleks is more flexable if that's important to you, it's also more conductive, but much more expensive. Unless you're doing a 3-5kW+ system I'd just use the KLMX wire
