Are these good quality lights and what ballast should i get? One of my friends said 8k. 2005 Chevy Silverado z71 crew cab. Robert8252 Posted September 24, 2010 Report Share Posted September 24, 2010 They are some of the best HIDs available. Ballast options are 35w and 55w. 35w is pretty bright. 55w is extremely bright. Colors are in the Kelvin. 4,500 about would be pure white, 6k silverish, 8k light blue white, 10k pure blue, 12k purple. Give them a call tomorrow and they should be able to answer all of your questions.
