Sammitch0
IF you're only trying to run ONE amplifier I can recommend something... go the expensive route get a Sundown SAZ-3500D with the electrical to back it up. It should do an easy 4000RMS @ 1 OHM but I can only find them new for about $850 at DB-R electronics probably wayyyy past your budget. I'd recommend checking out SoundDigital Amplifiers they are a forign company but great price per watt performance. I think the 4k's are like $700. Yeah amplifier and woofers are the only two real expensive things in the audio world then of course electrical but decent electrical ran with no clipping shouldn't be too hard to pass a big III and a battery can run most people upto 2kwrms daily idle. I would say for two BTL's get ATLEAST 2kwrms per subwoofer because the are under-rated you're in the market for a TRUE 4kwrms amplifier check out brands like: RE Audio // AudioQue // Sundown // Soundstream // Kicker // Rockford // Stensom etc. You'll pay upwards of $800 for any of those new in the 4kw range... If you go used i've seen 4kwrms sundown go for about $600-700. He hardly needs 6kwrms are these stock BTL's or fully loaded? I wouldn't do 3kwrms daily on these woofers stock without box knowledge and right electrical... Just stick with 4kwrms because by the time you get a single 4kwrms amplifier and the electrical you're going to be deep in the pockets... I'd suggest dropping $400 on a good alternator (DC or Mechman/Iraggi) get a good 280amp and a two good deep cycles like XS1200's or something. Do a Big III and buy a good solid 4,000rms amplifier.
