2001 Impala LS HID Conversion Kit

Hey, looking to replace the stock halogens I got in my Impala right now(9006 bulbs).

I'm on ddmtuning.com right now and I'm looking at the 55W Kit, 5000k, but I have NO idea what the HID Harness means? Will it not come with a harness to hook up to my car's factory wiring if I don't select it? What does adding the $12.50 Dual in, Dual Out harness do for me?

you get the size bulb you need, 9006 then the color/level(5k in your case) id recommend getting 8k in 55w because the 55w ballast will wash out alittle of the color to make it look like a 5K bulb, if you get the 5k with a 55w ballast it might look more like 4300k HID kit.

the wiring harness is not needed on most cars, personally i put it on all hid kits ive bought for myself. if you dont sometimes the stock wiring will lot make enough power to turn both bulbs at the same time or might make them flicker(not always but sometimes)

Yeah, I've seen that a lot of people on this site use ddmtuning and never have a problem...I may just go with a 6000k even if it does wash it out a little. I'm looking for the most lumens; highest light output, but still looking really bright white..because down here in north carolina most roads dont have street lights, and being out in the country the backroads are dangerous if your headlights suck. So I guess I'll get the wiring harness just to be safe.
