bigjoe302boss Posted September 26, 2010 Report Share Posted September 26, 2010 I reconed my XL 12 and shimmed it like all the other recones I've done and all glue joints were done perfect to my knowledge. The subs plays fine till a certain volume and the makes a mechanical noise like bottoming out but it never did before and it has an extra spider this time. Also I have the 2 subs on 2 sundown 2000s and I broke my dmm so I can't check to be sure if they are putting out the same power. Any help would be appreciated thanks. O.o and might wanna get a DMM Quote Legal TL scores145.6 on the dash sealed up in the low 40hz area with the port out145.5 on the dash sealed up @30hz with the port inless then 1k clamped on a 3.5k! Why would you EVER WANT flex?huh?...flex is what can make the lows lower and more air being pushed correct? If you don't have a DMM, either buy one, put the amps in different boxes, or recone the subs so you can link them Do you smell smoke..you may be clipping. bigjoe302boss Posted September 26, 2010 Author Report Share Posted September 26, 2010 Dmm is broke so I will have to get another and subs are dual 1s wired at 2ohms for break in, at comps I was planning on wiring at .5ohm, the one I reconed did fine on the single amp at .5ohm though. More input on strapping amps, noob to that.
