amp going into protect?

It was running fine then it just went into protect. i get voltage drop but i turn it down when it gets to bad. then i turn it back on, it plays for a couple seconds and turns off. its not even hot or anything. so im freakin out

im just hoping nothing blew in the amp. but its weird bc it turns on and everything, it just doesnt stay

Depends what blew. An amp can still turn on if parts are blown. My guess is that if it protects after putting out power nothing is blown. It could be a bad ground, I've even heard of the bottom plate of an amp grounding out the amp causing it to protect

I doubt anything is blown, always troubleshoot before sending it in. If nothing wrong with the amp and yousend it in, they'll send it back an you'll be back to square one

Always troubleshoot the possibilities, go into my amp protect thread in the amplifier section, read and try all of those I'd link you if I wasn't on my iPhone
