So do i leave the end in connected my head unit, laeve the end connected to the car & splice all the identical wires together ?

Kinda sorta, you need to get a wiring schematic for the cd player and a schematic for the car and match the wires. Just because they're the same color doesn't mean they'll match up exactly the same. Check the12volt.com, they usually have things like this. Sometimes the radio's themselves have a diagram on them.

If both of those fail, find someone that knows how to do it properly.

first, I suggest you read the manual and figure out exactly what those wires do. you guessed wrong on a few of the wires that are critical to installing a unit with video options, specifically that parking brake wire (or remote wire as you called it). the yellow wire does get hooked up to a constant +12v source, but not for the reason you mentioned.

I suggest you also purchase a wiring harness specific to your car so you don't have to splice anything.

The purple and Green you had together are not your remote wires they are the parking brake wires the only one you need is the purple your blue and white is your remote you need all the purple green white and grey's that are together for your speakers your speakers your yellow is constant power red is switched power you should be able to color match those on a plug kit and the way to watch video ir run one wire from your parking break wire and one wire from your ground wires to a toggle switch let me know if this helps.

Could you explain a bit more ? Witch is the wire i am misrepresenting & also does the 12v source have to be the battery ? Because that little line seems short.

Where would you guys recommend placing the red power & the yellow constant power ? BTW they did not have a harness for this exact vehicle/head unit combo I.E having to splice.

All i am trying to figure out is where the big yellow one goes. The big coil of purple/green wire i can leave i dont need hooked up do i ?

If your using a plug kit match the colors if not use a test light to check witch is switched power when you turn the key and constant which always have power

Yellow=constant

Red=switched, turned key

The 2 wires that you called remote wires. It is hard to tell what they are from the video, but there isn't 2 remote wires. I am guessing the one with the parking brake warning on it is to be hooked up to the parking brake. All head units with video capability have to be tied into the parking brake system for the video to function. I haven't messed with very many of them to know if they all work the same or not, and there are ways of getting around this so you can operate the video function without having the parking brake engaged. Just don't ask me how that works, I don't know and even if I did it is probably illegal to do, so I won't tell you.

The yellow wire does not have to be hooked to the battery directly, but it does need to be hooked to a +12v source that is ALWAYS hot. The red wire should be hooked to a +12v source that is switched, so you can shut your radio off. The yellow wire is the power wire for your radio, the red wire is the "remote" wire for your radio.
