I know most of the basics and some of the more advanced stuff but this will only be my second system. My first is a alpine type-r 12" with the mrp-m500 amp. I want to run 2500-3000rms to the BTL. So big three upgrade, new alt, second battery maybe, 0 guage wire?
bassl0va Posted October 4, 2010 Report Posted October 4, 2010 You need a box that controls excursion well of you are feeding it 3k, maybe not an alt, but if not a bunch of batteries. Oh and you need to know how to set gains without clipping. Only a termlab can hear the difference between the full 3000 watts and say 2600 after drop. Anyway, impedance rise will probably have you getting less than 2000 anyway.
