drewb53
After looking one 12volt and the wiring diagram; I wanted to ask if this is correct or not. This was a quick draw up in paint. What I want to know is if this will end up giving me a 1 ohm load. I have the terminals in my box and would rather not have to drill and not use them. That is why I put them in the drawing. If this will not work can someone please tell me what will? here is the link to what i used. Wiring link! If you do what the diagram in the link shows and wire both subs to 1 amp you will see a 1 ohm load.
drewb53
so what would i need to do to get a 1 ohm load? and this will go to the same amp **EDIT: I didnt explain this all the way i dont think.. the red terminals are going to be run to an amp.. a pos from each and a neg from each. Sorry if I messed that up. Edited October 6, 2010 by drewb53 Quote 2003 Chevy Blazerkenwood headunit4 ga. kicker wiringAQ1200D amp2 12" DC LVL 3'sStinger Volt MeterMy Build LogBlazer is no longer. Sanitarium
so what would i need to do to get a 1 ohm load? and this will go to the same amp Hook all subwoofer postives to a single positive terminal, and hook all subwoofer negatives to a single negative terminal. drewb53
alright i get that.. i guess what i am asking is do you just put both the speaker wires in one terminal? Pretty much what i am asking is how do i go to 2 subs with a single pos. and neg. CJ18
alright i get that.. i guess what i am asking is do you just put both the speaker wires in one terminal? Pretty much what i am asking is how do i go to 2 subs with a single pos. and neg. If you look at the picture it shows you how and you end up with 1 pos and 1 neg to wire to your amp. Just copy this diagram exactly when you are wiring your subs and you will get 1 ohm. Explanation.....wire + and + and - and - on both subs together with jumpers. Now take another jumper and wire/jump + on one coil of both subs and - on the other coil of both subs. Then from your last jump take another wire and go straight to your amp. This is the hard way to get down to 1 ohm. This is the easy way If you just wire both subs like this down to 2 ohms and take both positive and both negatives and run them into the sub output on your amp you will end up at 1 ohm. drewb53
so what your saying on the last part is if i did it that way, that i would have one pos. and one neg. from each sub, then i would put them both in the same speaker terminal or seperate ones? Im sorry for all the questions it is my first time with dvc subs i only had svc before.
